Vancouver Police Museum

Vancouver Police Museum was established in 1983 to commemorate the Vancouver Police Department along with the City of Vancouver. This museum is located in Cordova Street in Vancouver Gas town and used to house the Coroner’s Court till 1980. Run by the Vancouver Police Historical Society, this museum was designed by Arthur J. Bird. Today it has been designated as a heritage building and its collection includes almost 2000 objects. From weapons, confiscated firearms, documents, photographs, documents, currencies, artifacts, memorabilia to educational programs, and walking tours are available for everyone.

Marine Building

Marine Building is situated at 355 Burrard Street, Downtown Vancouver next to the Financial District. This skyscraper was completed in 1930 and was once the tallest skyscraper and one of the most iconic buildings in its time. Listed as some of the best Art Deco buildings in the world the marine building is noted for its iconic architecture, sophisticated interior decorations. In fact, Marine building has been used for film and television settings-the most popular one being Timecop, television shows like Smallville, Blade: Trinity, and many more.

Gastown

Gastown is another national historic destination located at the northwest end of Downtown Eastside next to Downtown Vancouver. This beautiful townhouse some of the most historic sites in Vancouver like Carral Street, Cambie Street and stretches as far as Columbia St. Gastown is a mix of both contemporary art, furnished boutiques, colorful cafes, nightclubs, tattoo parlor, acting schools, and upscale neighborhoods. It has become a focal point for popular events like -Vancouver International Jazz Festival, the Prix International bicycle race, and many more. The Gastown Steam Clock is another iconic landmark here, it is a  steamed powered clock sandwich at the corner of Cambie and Water Street.

Roedde House Museum

Roedde House Museum is a Victorian home inspired museum situated at 1415 Barclay Street in Vancouver, Canada. Built-in 1893 this museum was designed by Francis Rattenbury and was also home to Gustav Roedde and his family. It was renovated around the 1980s and in 1990 was opened to the public as a museum. The museum includes a collection of more than 2,700 artifacts ranging from clothing, books, household items, furniture owned by the Roedde Family. Besides this, it also features the Classical and Jazz Concert series.

Stanley Park

Stanley Park was opened in 1888 and has been named after Canada’s Governor General- Lord Fredrick Stanley. It is the first green space in Vancouver and one of the largest urban parks. It was the original home of the Musqueam, Burrard, and Squamish First Nation.
